About

Ursula Lockley (Barcelona, 1978) is a painter based in Luxembourg.
Her practice is rooted in attention, presence, and a slow dialogue with matter.

Working with pigments and acrylics — often prepared by hand — she allows time, texture, and intuition to guide the process. Painting becomes a space of listening rather than control, where gesture and silence are essential.

Her recent work moves towards near-monochrome worlds, where color is experienced as atmosphere rather than description. Forms emerge quietly, shaped by pause, return, and the pleasure of looking again.

Ursula’s work invites the viewer to slow down and inhabit the subtle space between doing and observing.
